tommy, that carbon fiber hood not only doesn't fit right, it makes you look like you're trying too hard. please, heed some of the advice from your peers, sometimes they're rude, but that's mostly because you're rude too.

i believe the reason why you are having to defend yourself all the time is that (imho) most of us here would agree that you're cheapening an otherwise elegant car. if you're gonna soup up your car, please do it with style (like alexbenz or some of these other cats with crazy money) or don't do it at all (if you can't afford to do it right). you're making the car look like it's made in China (no offense to asians, as i'm asian myself). but i'm serious, it's starting to look like it's made from a toy factory.

I gotta agree with some members that the c/f hood looks awkward in a silver car, but the c/f project is still in progress, I'm sure it will look much better after the projet is done. Anyways, nice to see some positive reviews in this thread. Thanks everyone! Oh yea Tommy, no need to drill the insulator holes for me, I can take the hood from here. Well I must thank you for posting pictures. You did confirm the fit and finish sucks maybe your not done? The other ones i have seen looked bad to ME too. Good Luck, we now know why they were so cheap.

the hood looks like someone that got into a wreck and replaced the hood but hasn't came up with the "Dough Ray Me" yet to have it painted. People??....don't you agree?......that hood is dumpy isn't it?......have you considered that maybe a carbon fiber hood is not so hot of idea on a MB?......if not and you still like it why don't you consider those doors that tilt up straight up and maybe a little crystal disco ball hanging from your rear view mirror? do you already have one of those thump thump stereos with a huge sub in the back seat?.....lets make out a "tommy wish list" ......what else do you have planned for this "poop box"?

Well, I can agree "not to turn it on" but it's there and at the top of the W210 forum which causes people to go in and read (that's where you get your 2500 viewings). This is way beyond "a little comic relief" IMO but to each his own. I'm not here to blast anyone but to just remind people what this place is for. There have been good people in the past that decided to not participate in discussions and such in here because of stuff like this and they decided to just leave. I can understand a few posts going back and forth as I've been a part of some as well but come on now. Regardless, if anyone decideds that this is still fun and necessary then take it to e-mail or PM. Just my $0.02, have a nice day...

This is the first time I've had the misfortune of reading this thread, thanks to a heads up.

I can't get past the first 2 pages of this utter nonsense. Tommy, if you have the power gains you claim (completely unsubstantiated), your car will match a 430 engine, so you aren't blowing away CLK430s unless they had no idea you were trying to race (which I suspect is the truth).
You were asked at least 4 times to at least take a moment to list your mods, which were all ignored. Last i heard, you had exhaust and air intake, which we all know will not give the power gains you claim. Now you elude to some mystery turbo kit, which must be custom made for you because nobody else on the planet has one. Perhaps you confused the Vortex for a turbo.

I think your rampant BS is fouling the board and may be a TOU violation, which I will discuss with the admins.
