Mod List

Thanks alot guys, your opinions are really important to me. I'm definitely going to carry on and make this w210 look a beauty. Once again, thanks to all of you.

I drive a 96 E320 Inline 6. No modifications done to engine and I'm planning to keep it this way. Since I'm only interested in the appearance of the car.

UPCOMING exterior MODS:
AMG front bumper
BRABUS carbon fibre front lip
TommyGunn carbon fibre hood
Brain Cadena carbon fibre rear lip
Lorinser Roof Wing
Bilstein sport shocks
Eibach pro springs
2002 E320 side mirrors w/folding

UPCOMING interior MODS:
Suede / leather all around seats, dashboard, etc.
Dynamat in door panels, fenders, roof, trunk, etc.
Carbon fibre trims

Going to paint the rear diffuser and side mirrors. And curse the aftermarket Depo projectors too. I have to buy another set cos the current ones suck so bad. Do you guys have any suggestions on clear projectors?

I will be posting pictures up as soon as I get new mods done to the car. Thanks for looking guys!!!

Hi. I noticed the muffler because I had a Remus installed six weeks ago and love the sound.

Is it just the angle of your first pic from the 10/20 post, or does your piping on the remus hang only about 3" from the ground? It looks like it has a weird curve that hangs the piping very low.

If so, and you lower the car another 1.5" with Eibach springs, you might be scraping every speed bump and half the driveways you pass....

Thank you very much for sharing your opinions. I will be adjusting the exhaust before I install the Eibach springs, but I appreciate you telling me that cos I will probably miss it. The roof is painted high glass black. It looks really nice. I recommend owners with a silver w210 do it. More pics coming soon, please keep checking. Have a great day everyone!

Those wheels look great on the car. Who makes them and where did you find them?

i cant help but notice the amg rear bumpers and side skirts but i dont think you can fit a 2000 up amg front bumper on a pre 2000 e. i have that same dual tip round remus on my car too. that muffler is probably not made for the e. the muffler guys probably use the remus pipes, so they dont have to pipe the whole thing. the same thing happen to me and i had them redo the whole thing again. anyways looks nice. i really like the amg bumpers. keep up the good work.

You can fit the rear bumper and side rockers (skirts) from a 00-02 onto a pre-facelift 96-99 W210. The front bumper will not fit.

has anyone here painted the black plastic part of the side rockers and bumpers (front+rear) in a pre-facelift w210? does the paint stick good? how long does it stay? did you just use a primer, paint than clear coat? any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Well, I've seen a couple painted in the forums but it depends on the quality of work done. The 96-99 rockers are bumpy in tecture and it shows when painted. I would recommend spending a hundred bucks or two and purchasing a set of 00-02 side rockers from a junkyard and having those painted and installed. I did it on my last E420 and when all was said and done with purchase, paint and install it cost me about $400 bucks. Just my $0.02...

thanx jimmy for your post. in case i find side rockers from a facelift w210, i might do it. if not, i will pass on the painting part. where i live it snows a good 3 months, so with the stuff they put on the icy roads, the paint on the plastic wouldn't last very long.

Nicely and tasefully done!! How did you manage to mount the muffler high enough closer to the bumper? I also have the Sport bumper without the cutout. I was asking the tech to make a cutout but he insisted that he can't mount it any higher because of the chasis is preventing it to do so... do you have this problem at all??

Thanks,

Jon

the rims are brabus monoblock V 19" multi-piece staggered 8.5 9.5. they are a direct fit into the w210. i think there's a brand new set for sale in the forum.

Hi Jon,

thank you for your kind words. i have no problem mounting the muffler closer to the bumper. but the setting u see here is the maximum height i can bring it to. i can take pictures of the mounting for u sometime next month and send them to u so u can ask ur tech to make some adjustments.

you should consider getting those 3M transparant film strips that goes on to the body. they work really well and prevent the body from rock salt and other debris.
