Ec light is off?

correct?
if it is and you ran the test, and the a/c is just not putting out enough cool air,it looks like the charge of r134a is low.You can add a can of r134a sold at shucks or autozone what have you,can comes with tubes and fitting, just follow directions on the can, engine running a/c set on high.
Then after you do that clear the error codes while in error read mode by pressing both auto buttons at the same time on the climate control. Those codes will most likely clear.Check a/c operation and run the a/c diagnostics again one day later.Record the values and errors if any and post them again.Helps to convert them to f degrees, your system has the centigrade.
hope this helps

the evap sensor at 73.4 f is warm but not out of range for a system low on r134a,they usually don't show a error code but when faulty they show a number way out of range as a fail safe to prevent evaporator from freezing up.like 137f stuff like that so no need to replace it,just start by charging the system.

Start

with 1 can that should do it.If you need more it might be time to see if you have a slow leak.Dye kit time or electronic sniffer.
Mine is in f so I never pondered if it can be changed like on the bmw system.
if it can be done someone will chime in.
I always just use the google tool bar and enter i.e.
23c to f or 45c to f and it gives me the conversion.it does it backwards also if you need c, 190f to c=87.777c

Yep

gas goes in there.
variable pressure system so Maybe you need to have the charge pulled and a new dryer installed and recharged to get in the proper amount.Compressor is running ?

I had this same problem over the summer and bought the same kind of r134a. The guage was reading red but the A/C was still hot and the compressor was not kicking in. I ended up having to add a second can before it finally kicked in and started cooling.

The weird thing is a few weeks later it went back to blowing warm air again. I think I have a leak.

I have not done this before but I would like to try it. Is this easy DIY? What tools do I need? Or do I have to go to a profesional AC guy to do this?

I will check again if compressor is running.

It would not even let me put anything. Did it let you put 2 cans even the gauge was on "RED" warning?

If you

can't get more 134a in is the compressor running? If so and the pressure is that low you probably do need to take it to a shop, pulling the charge properly takes a special machine to reclaim the r134a and if done without the right equip is a hellish mess very unsafe and can hurt your lungs in a n.y. minute.
You need to check compressor operation, have it tested for leaks, repaired and recharged. If the compressor was running and the system is low and you have it set to low temp and the can is shaken and in the position stated on the can then it should take it,so shop it goes and I hate to say that.
find a good indie shop get references have them diagnose what is wrong and don't be afraid to tell them to wait on it ,while you check here and find out if you can save some money.
sorry
