Newest mod V1 display in mirror
I just received this in the mail today so I haven't had a chance to install it yet.
I'm planning an install similar to the one recently posted on the W211 E55 page with the V1 unit installed on the rear package tray and upholstered so its hidden. No more having to remember to take it down every time I park somewhere.
I had the homelink removed from my mirror to get the display to fit. The installer said they could keep the homelink but it would have required bondo and paintwork and more money. Apparently the newer MB mirrors have more room inside then these older models. Since I don't use the homelink removing it and saving $ was a no brainer to me.
