Thinking about a Magnaflow Muffler
I Have been wanting an aftermarket exhaust for quite some time and was wanting the remus but i just do not like the sound of the remus that much and its pricey.
I was looking at the magnaflow exhausts. Does anyone have them on the 4.2 or 4.3 engine of our cars?

I found this video, pretty much what i want in terms of sound. I know he has duals but i would think if i got a magnaflow muffler and removed the resonator it would sound similar? Can anyone elaborate?

Leave the
muffler, install an aero resonator and an H-pipe you will like the sound better and it will add a few ft lb of torque down low.http://www.aeroexhaust.com/performan...ator_ar20.html
the h-pipe is easier to fab works better than the pricey x pipes and can be installed as far forward as space allows.

well they are not easy to come by. and i dont think the stock exhaust with the resonator removed is exactly what im looking for. Im looking for a sound thats a tad bit louder. I went and heard a friend of mines e430 with the remus exhaust with removed resonator. I liked it alot. I was originally going by the sound from the videos on you tube of the e420's with the remus exhaust. Since my e420 has a single inlet opposed to the 430's dual inlet, would the exhaust sound any different at all? Because the one on my friends 430 didnt seem as throaty as the ones on you tube and i like it not as throaty.

Remove the stock
resonator install the freer flowing aero and it will have a nice growl at rpm and a plesent note at idle if you use the h=pipe to balance it out.If you remove the stock rear muffler you will lose power and your brains will hate the resonance.

Eisenman makes a nice sounding muffler with a dual outlet with your choice of tip. they have two sound levels to choose from. I have the dual oal tips and the quieter sound level. It is healthier than stock and very smooth. No vibration or rubble that will make your brain go numb. The original system by MB is very good flow according Eisanman so gains in power will be marginal.

ok buddy
if you want it to sound like that, leave your reso, replce your mufflr with a magnaflow, then see how it sounds, if you don't like it, n wat it loudr, plull out your reso, then you should be good if you wanna make it WAY louder OBD2 hig flow magna flow cat lol
