ohlord, we got hit by an uninsured motorist. Fortunately, I have pretty good coverage including uninsured motorist. My insurance wants to salvage the vehicle even though in my opinion the damage is not that bad. I am exploring the option to purchase the car back and fix it. I think it would make financial sense only if I can pick up these parts used at good price. Normally, I would stay far away from these type of situations. The reason im even considering this option is because as the owner the last 7 years, I have been maticulous with care and maintenance of vehicle . It is also nicely optioned with factory nav, heated seats....etc. We had factory extended warranty up to 100,000 miles and full dealer service records. Before the factory warranty expired, I had the dealership finecomb the car and replace what he can under warranty. The car has run trouble free the last 100,000 miles except a few minor bulb burn outs and 1 window regulator issue. In addition, I recently just put in a bluetooth kit and new michelin tires on factory 17 sport wheels. I dont know....I really like the car and having issues letting it go. Im willing to keep it as a spare car for another few years given the right price even if its salvage titled. Whats your opinion? I can take pics of the accident area of the car, its really not that bad.
