W210 rocker panel cover/OEM side skirts
Where can I get used parts (>2001) for my car? I've painted the black rocker panels the same color as the car and initially liked it, but I think the OEM covers would make the car look right. I found these guys for $600 (http://mercedesbenzgenuinep.reachlocal.net/) but that's just too steep. I don't like the ebay specials either (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-97...Q5fAccessories). Any help?

Well, I found a wrecking yard in SoCal selling a pair for $150. I bought them but they were the wrong color. Still not bad...

I saw your post on several classified sections (this forum and others) so I know you've been looking too. I think you should keep your options open and get other colors if you get a chance. Painting these parts won't be expensive (if you have someone else do it) or difficult (if you're a DIY). I'm planning to paint them myself once I get them (we have the same color). Good luck.

Finally got it painted and installed this weekend. I just took phone camera pics so it doesn't look very good. Still need to get the rubber moulding between the fender and the skirts.

Thanks. My wife thinks I'm nuts doing the stuff I do with the wagon but I just can't leave it stock. Besides, the fact that it is a wagon makes it that much more different.

Thanks. They're 18s. I had considered other wheel combinations but ended up with this due to cost and cosmetics. The move from 16 to 18 inch in terms of NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) was minimal.

yeah 16 to 18 on a merc is nothing, what type of springs and pad #s are you running. LOL your front end is low, you have that sport rake look going.....
I've always wanted a wagon myself, but just couldnt find the right one, ended up with a e320 sedan...

Yep, they're a tad too low even for my taste. I intend to replace the front spring pads to thicker ones at some point, but I still remember how much of a pain in the *** to compress those springs, even with the help of power tools.
