Anyone play burned MP3 CDs in the 6-disc changer?
I have a problem with serious skipping on any CD I burn myself. Although I have lowered and stiffened suspension, retail CDs almost never skip unless it roll over a fairly significant pothole or frost heave. Burned MP3s however, skip in anticipation of a minor crack. It's pretty bad.
There isn't much I can do about it, although if you have experienced this and found some way to mitigate, please let me know. Perhaps a special brand of blank or a particular method of burning.

I don't own any 'real' cds (all burned), various brands and they only skip on big bumps. I ran one of those clearer cds through the player when I first got the car and its been fine thus far.

Build a play list
in iTunes then insert a blank of good quality and hit burn down someplace in the lower right corner of the play list page.iTunes will burn a good copy of the play list to the capacity of the disc and it will play on all versions of players I have tried in all the cars I own.
That may solve the issue.Good solid write of 0's and 1's.
Not much of a buffer in those old readers.

Ohlord, I'd rather go south where it isn't 2 degrees like it was this morning here.
What is this 'clearing' CD mentioned?
Also, mine is stock and plays MP3s just fine, as long as the road is glass smooth.

Try wedging the owners manual in between the CD player and the fender wall to minimize the CD player vibrating.

i Tunes program is free
you can put your music files from your computer in its library.Use it as a default player if you want to.Listen to pod casts etc.
lime wire won't burn to discs. The poster above I think is referring to building your music library, but if you are going to borrow music files![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
there are much faster and better torrent sites to do that. Not that I know anything about that sort of thing![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
