Sagging Headliner 99E320

I have a 99 E320 and the headliner in the two rear corners is starting to separate or sag. I have searched on several forums and have not been successful in locating any guidance on how to repair the sagging.

If anyone has had a similar experience with the headliner, please let me know how you repaired it. Thanks.

The headliner should be removed to repair it the correct way with spray glue

I have used 3M Spray glue with decent results

The A/B/C pillars then the front seat belts, dome lights, visors, grab handles should be removed to remove the headliner

Do a search on a copy of WIS it will have all the Information needed to do the job the correct way

3M makes a variety of spray adhesives for various applications. Type 77 is the most common, works on almost everything but is permanent. If you use it, you will be scraping that part of the headliner off if you ever decide to remove it.

I would imagine the WIS has a recommendation for the correct product and it would probably be available from the dealer. And as Mark says the correct procedure.

If you can't access that information, you might go to the 3M website or a supplier like www.mcmaster.com (McMaster Carr) for application information.

Good luck.
