Exhaust tips for e320?

A search of the forum yielded several posts stating that there are no exhaust tips available for any w210 non-amg stock muffler. Is this still the case?

You can shape the lower bumper

and fab a set of weld on tips. The way the oem pipes exit the exhaust make for an odd angle if done other ways.
or cut the bumper and see if
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...0-muffler.html
are still on the market.OOPs yours is an m104
Cheaper to fab your own tips.

Brabus offers a muffler with tips for about $1600.00. Eisenmann also does and you can choose the tip design. Just go to their web page.

I think

he just wants tips not 30% of the value of the car spent on a muffler

I understand. Just trying to offer some ideas. Maybe he can get tips alone from Eisenmann and/or go on Ebay. I have a set of dual chromed oval w/ the black mesh adjustable tips for a W211 still sitting in the box for a hundred bucks. I am not sure if they would align properly for a W210 exhaust since I do not have one here to check.

lol, got that right. Also I currently have 3 loud vehicles, so I'm perfectly happy with the quiet factory e320 muffler. Not too interested in cutting up the rear bumper either.

Eisenmann tips wont work as they are made to fit their muffler, which has straight pipes coming out. What do your adjustable tips look like and what makes them adjustable?

No harm no foul Oh Lord. You have helped too much to be otherwise.

The tips are chrome plated oval cut at an angle and have the black metal mesh insert in the outlet with rolled lip. It really looks sharp and classic Benz. That is why I bot them. Not at all like your local auto store piece. The attachment point to the exhaust swivels. It comes out at not quite 90 degrees and can be rotated 360 degrees. Perfect alignment for the 211 exhaust. The oval is 4" across by 2.75" high. It is made to come out just under the bumper with no bumper cutting required. The inlet is adjustable and about 2" diameter in the mid range with adjustable collar.Three vented louvers on the bottom for drainage. Louvers are 2" across. I will post a picture when I get home in a day. The piece is heavy and substantial. Really good design. Just did not fit the angle of a 210 wagon's tranverse muffler tips. I paid $165.00 for the pair and had forgotten about them from last summer. Let me know if you think they might be of interest.

I wanted something along the lines of the old E55 look- subdued, but a bit more sporty than the factory turndowns. A major concern was creating a restriction by having a 80-90 degree bend in the tips, but a shop here in San Diego attached two 2/1/2 inch chrome tips, flush with the lower valance, and almost straight off of the factory muffler for $80. He cut the bends off, and welded straight on. Looks factory, and a bit nicer from the rear.

Here's a basic shot- the turn downs were cut at the sharpest angle close to the muffler itself, and the two 2 1/12 tips were slid on, and fully welded to each pipe, to maintain sound integrety (if you don't fully weld, you can get a sputtering sound). The tips cost $15 each, and the labor was about $50.

Haven't dyno'ed it yet, but I figure with the combination of the flat hood badge and my Silverstars they're worth at least 30 RWHP.

Tips are good for 11RWHP on non modded W210 E320 with the Breamahata removed and plugged. Ask Bill Cosby PIPES< PIPES OH WOW Look at those PIPES......

Seriously they do look like a good job.

Lol! I remember Tommy and your ongoing discussions with him. I've passed a Ferrari on the left lane once with my 95hp W210 Diesel, but somehow he always seemed to mix up 'passed a slow driving Ferrari' with 'completely smoked a Ferrari' and totally believing it too!

...Which reminded me of a few nights ago on the good old I-5 South. I was in a hurry to get home from a rather long day at the grindstone, so I admittedly had the cruise set rather high, but on a completely empty road at around 11 PM. As I rolled along in silence,

I started hearing a

...bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRR R RR R

...louder and louder and louder. I honestly thought something was wrong with my silver sled, until I realized a 2007-8 Hyundai (prounouced like Sunday, you clowns) Accent was slowly fighting its way up to me, at a neck breaking 91 or 92 MPH. After a bit of time, the lime green weasel mobile with a trash can for a muffler got past me (I had the cruise set at 85), and in another minute was about 4 car lengths ahead of me.

Thats when he hit the blinkers.

I can only imagine the joy he took in telling his lowered Honda buddies (who probably won't allow him in their forum) how he smoked a Mercedes-Benz.

So, I keep driving along, with my cruise set criminally at 85.

Ten minutes later, as I approached my exit, yep, it was lime green guy, but the hood was up and I could smell the sweet stench of burning ATF 100 yards before I passed him (and his cloud of white smoke). Heh heh. Hyundai- like Sunday (The new ad spots demand respect for this fine automobile with this statement). Well, guys, I guess he smoked SOMETHING.
