99 model w210 e55 amg
aftermarket HID on all lamps

hi guys ! is it safe to use aftemarket HIDS on all our lamps ike foglamps and headlamps? is it safe for our car ? for the wirings, fuses etc... whats the right way of installing an HID? thanks!<!-- google_ad_section_end --> its for a e55 amg w210 99model its the same with all w210 e class. thanks!

The "right way" is to install complete headlamp units sourced from Mercedes.

Understand that HID are unsuitable as "flashers" as they take too long to warm up--that's why every manufacturer always installs halogens for this.

In addition, there's no such thing as an HID fog light.

Of course you're interested in form over function, so go ahead.

it's totally safe for the car, but not for YOU and others on the road. just leave the idea right where you found it.

Check Daniel Stern Lighting for a complete explanation as to what is allowed and most importantly why. You will also find all the legal regulations as links on his site. Semikolon and Oh Lord have the website to post. It is also required to have a headlight washer system as part of the Xenon lighting package due to the #x brighter light output and potential glare issue from dirty xenon headlamps. Its all in that website. Good info to read before blowing your hard earned cash.
