Duo Valve Screws - LOST ONE. HELP!

I opened up the duo valves because my AC would not get cold yesterday in Palm Springs (108F!!).
The pistons were not stuck, so I guess I will need to charge my refrigerant.
While putting pack the duo valve covers, one screw fell in the ABYSS, so now I am left with one screw less. Are these sold per piece? replacements?
Anyone with a spare who can mail one to me? I'll send back a cold one .

I do not have a code reader, so I could not give any readings. I'll try to load a can of R134 and see if it helps.

You don't

need a code reader to run diagnostics on the a/c system.
http://www.eclassbenz.com/node/27
run them,post them.
stop tearing into stuff when you are not sure or reasonably sure of the direction you need to be traveling in
Take a screw to lowes or home depot and have them match thread and length
or any good screw bolt supply house in your area.

hahaha - advise well taken with thanks. I do get into trouble doing this. I am new to the high tech car electronics.

Anyway, I went through the diagnostics following the instructions on eclassbenz.com and got the following readings:

1 - 84
2 - 69
3 - 39
4 - 37
5 - 138
6 - 182
7 - 15
8 - 114

Eb1 231
Eb1 234

Diagnosis - Faulty EVAPORATOR TEMP. SENSOR
I am ordering the part from Autohaus AZ and will follow the replacement instructions in another thread. Results will be reported after.

Thanks again OHLORD

Call me if you need

help you really don't need to remove the whole under dash drivers side if someone can direct you where to slide your hand and locate the part.
Unless you are a full figured member person and then you may need the extra room afforded by taking down the whole bolster. Don't remove the under dash till you have the new sensor in hand.
Good flashlight helps it is dark down there

codes will clear when replaced and the ones that don't clear yourself.

A/C Temp. Sensor

I just removed the Evap. Temp Sensor and found it to look different from the one I received from AZ AutoHaus. Even the part number is slightly diff.

Old - 210 830 05 72
New - 210 830 07 72

Are these inter-changeable?

Unfortunately, I do not have my camera right now to show the old part.

A/C Evaporator Temp. Sensor - Replaced

Finally got this sensor replaced, no small thanks to OHLORD for his advise regarding the different part number and other how to tips.

The AC now works perfectly. It blows nice cold air at various temp. settings and there are no more error codes.

Thanks again OHLORD and to this forum as it saved me a lot of money and aggravation.

THANKS

Yes, there's some money saved which will go to other DIY projects (and lots of BEER to go along with it ).

There are still a few things I need to do to the wagon, tranny filter change, fluid drain, coolant drain/replace, brakes on the functional side.

Aesthetically, coming up are wheels and window tint (needed in Southern CA esp. this summer!). Pistures will be posted shortly after all these are done.

DIY is the way to go! I get so much satisfaction and some pride and makes drving your car a much more enjoyable daily experience.

Hey TWIN!

RonM,
Nice W210 wagon. what size wheels are those? I thought of black wheels too but could not find a picture sample. It looks nice on the bright silver car.
Nice Miata too!

Thanks.

If you want to see clearer, bigger pictures, just do a search of previous posts I made. I've attached a lot of pictures on those threads, including size (18s) and offset (I forgot).
