Shift stick loose...

Hey guys, has anyone else experienced their shifter feeling loose?
The other day, I shifted from park to drive and the stick just felt very loose. It had always felt nice and tight. It's also loose going back up to Reverse and park. The car runs fine otherwise.
Is this a sign of some problem? Should I get the transmission checked out?
Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, what fixed it?

Thanks yall...

Shifter Linkage Bushing

Look at the stickies at benzworld.org. An easy and cheap fix. Parts about $3.00.

Cheers

Shifter bushing; located up high in the left hand side of the trans tunnel. Need small hands or 12" needle nose to reach. Bushing is green usually.

You may need to re-adjust your shift linkage. Done from the bottom.

Raise the vehicle, have someone hold the shifter in drive, when looking up at the shift rod near where the shifter is from the bottom you'll see a torx or allen, loosen that push the trans into drive(lever on trans all the way forward) and tighten...tada!
