E320 Estate
Hear me out. Steel wheel Q...

Have a 98' E320 Estate Wagon. Stock, I like the spartan look, I want to throw on some plain jane black steel wheels (like a spare). Don't want to spend a bunch of money. Question: Are there plain, steel, full size spares for these things (5x112)? Do Audi/VW wheels fit as well? (Dif lug nuts, but a big deal?)

Any help is great thanks, heres a pic of what I'm kinda looking for.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Steel spares are not speed rated and are far to heavy

Get a set of alloy rims in black or have rims powder coated in black. You can pick up alloy in nice styles in 16 or 17's for about 100 bucks each from discount tire or tire rack.
Audi would be the wrong offset.
Powder coat or properly strip sand prime and paint the factory alloys. Other members do it with great results if done right

Can I ask why you want to look like you are running 4 spare tires?

be certain that you've answered the compatibility by comparing, lug bolt
length required (difference in wheel thickness @ lug hole), lug bolt
diameter, ball seat diameter, bolt pattern (you've noted this already),
ET, and hub diameter (which is diff on Audi/VW, I seem to recall).

Can I ask why you want to look like you are running 4 spare tires?
...i seem to remember you wanted Mustang rims on your MB, O. why
begrudge him his choice? his car, his flavor to pick.

Yup, I did, but then they were silver 5 spokes, not black spares.

It was an honest question. I'm confused why he would want to do this. Painting real wheels black, fine, but spare style wheels?

Not judging.

In the tool kit when your car was new were five shorter wheel lug bolts to be used with the steel spare. If you fit four steel wheels, you'll need 15 more of these lug bolts.

So would these work? Off an S430, 5x112 but are they the correct offset?

Original steel rims

are available in Canada. I called a dealer up in the Toronto area three years ago and they wanted crazy money for them. I went the eBay route and got a set of nice used alloys instead.

Cheers
