I've had a few W210's and the thing about them is they all lacked power, even the E55 isnt all that fast you know?? So i was thinking one night i love W210's and love supras but i hate supras interiors and also i wanted a four door... so Here i am putting a 2jz into a w210... its going to be freaking sweet.........

Not all that fast?
So if I understand understand correctly you are sticking in an iron block straight 6 that weighs 300lbs more than an aluminum block E55 v8 and torque peaks at 1000rpm higher before it comes in and you think it will out run an 2000 E55 with nearly 100ft lb torque more bone stock?
Do you have the engine yet?
Have you added up the cost to even make it put out what a stock E55 engine puts out?
You might also be putting some thought into the rear end. The Mercedes is not known for taking kindly to jolts of laughing gas.
You might also want to look into bigger brakes to slow down that iron slug that will be residing in the front end.
Don't be so quick to knock the power of the MB engine. While not a fan of the W211 the 2004 E55's and 469HP stock are running mid 11's and 4.5 0-60 I think you have your work cut out for you.I think you have your work cut out even up against a bone stock 350 hp 2000 E55.
Admire the effort, question the logic, hope you have deep pockets.Look forward to seeing the video upon completion, someday.

thanks for your input man but think about this for a second... Why would i put a supra engine in to keep it completely stock???? does that make sense to you? I have been planning this build for three years and i have been over everything man... im not just an idiot trying to make an engine fit....

Heres the plan....
This winter... getting it in, running, all of the wiring bugs worked out like getting the stock speedo and tac to work, ac and heat etc... oh yeah all of the rust will be fixed and be completely repainted...

THEN next winter all hell breaks loose.... single turbo conv... ecu... supra rear diff.. intake plenum fuel rail.. 5 inch exhaust... brembo brakes, h&r front and rear sway bars... eibach springs... and so on... maybe once that stuff is done and i like the hp out put i will tare it all down and do brian crower cams... forged pistons and rods...

you see what im building here is my dream car... its going to take some time and im going to do it right...

Who wouldnt love a 700hp 6 speed W210 hahahaha

Thought about it
for a second. Why a supra engine at all
We have 700 hp w210's, i also have people in the area running big block tubbed 1959 Pontoons in the 9's.
Seems like everyone running that engine is having to spend $$5-8k to push out the power you are projecting.I wish you well.Keep us posted when you get the engine.

The final step in this mod should be a standard E320 trunk badge. Then take it to AMG fests and shock the knickers off them.

Have you seen the numbers that this block has produced in the past?

I dont think any AMG 5.5 block can put out the numbers a 2JZ can.

yeah dude ive seen 1500hp on a dyno with huge twin turbos on youtube man its freaking sweet... and your right man mercedes motors cant handle boost unless you have 150 grand for the new biturbo v12's, but what fun is that buying something you can build to be faster...

Have you
seen the cost it takes to produce those numbers?
You tell me the cost to take the supra engine over 400hp and anyone can pick up a 470hp E55 motor for a fraction of that cost.
You are really off in the ozone if you think 1500hp supra engines are anywhere under $25k to build.Or that they grow on trees.

who said anything about 25 grand? dude your e55 motor is a piece of **** ive had one its slow and requires a huge amount of maintenance... i would say 7500 in upgrades on the 2jz and your at 550 or 600 horse on the supra... they really arent all that bad if you look... but obviously you have no idea what yur talking about but thats ok...

Yeah I have
no idea of what I'm talking about.
What we have here is another tommyboy and the only proof otherwise is how much the final bill will be to get it cobbled up and on the road if it ever gets there.
E55 huge maint.?
It is bullet proof

Maybe, just maybe, this guy just doesn't want an E55 motor.

The 2jZ is a fantastic motor.

While I don't understand the reason for doing this in a ho hum 10 year old MB sedan, if you want a 2jz in there, put a 2jz in there.

Ohlord seems to think that because he sells some tools and helped a few people out with basic maintenance he knows everything about these cars.

Did not say he should not do it
Just do not see the logic.
And the 25grand is what it cost to build 7.5hp out of every cubic inch in the 2jz engine. Someone brought up the 1500hp figure like it was easy pickings.
The proof of how much I know will be when and if he ever pulls a quicker time in a 3liter supra powered w210 than the much derided E55 he claims has no power and is not that fast.
And yes I happen to know more than you do about the m112 and m113 engines and provide far more info than just basic maintenance information. But you already know that

sir i know more about the m103 m104 m111 m116 m117 m119 m120 your m112 and m113 than you will ever know, unless you are a master mechanic thats been at mercedes benz for more that 15 years then dont start in with that ****.

this is not a forum about how much we know about engines and mercedes.. my family has been in the mercedes business for over 30 years i am here to show you my project...

the e55 is just a 5.5 v8 what has 375hp and yeah thats cool for joe schmoe that thinks his **** doesnt stink.. but as far as aftermarket capabilities there are none.. unless you want to go to rentech and spend a grand on there high flow airbox LOL... oh and yeah they will hapily program your ecu for like 3500... and oooh that boosts it to a wapping 400hp...

the 2jz is a german designed straight six high torque monster that needs to be unleashed... i would really love to see an m113 hold 25lbs of boost haha!!!

Ohlord I'm going to precede my comments with the statement that you have given me a lot of valuable info when I've needed it which I certainly appreciate. But, I think what some of the guys are saying is that you rain on everyone's parade when they try and do something obscure. Not everyone bases their modding ideas on facts and logic. Those two are pretty common ones for most of us, but people mod for different reasons. His is for an affection for the Supra motor. This wasn't a post that's entitled "I just bought an E320 what type of cold air intake should I buy to boost my horsepower". This guy posted photos of his engine being torn out and the manual tranny pedals already installed. He's actually in the midst of a real project which is a breath of fresh air to all the other many posts by newbies that are like the titled example I gave above. Whether or not he succeeds in this is another story.
Is he incorrect about the supra engine being able to blow away an E55 engine... probably. But, this guy is doing something truly unique with his car and has gained some intellectual interest from other members. I am definitely giving props to the change in going to a manual transmission. I'd love to learn how to do this mod.

40 plus years
and you would eat your hat.
My wife was a mb service writer before you were born.
Been building and racing Mercedes for 40 years.
So I think I have you covered.
Like I said proof will tell when it rolls. Do keep us posted though with all your expertise.
BTW the E55 in the SC version is well over 500hp with almost no mods at all.
Tell me the bill for your engine when it runs and puts out 500hp if ever.
Love swap projects and not dissing the engine, just don't grasp the build cost of $4k for engine ,cost of car,$7.5 k your est to modify, transmission cost, fabrication, wiring, rear end etc etc etc.
But hey it's your time ,your dime

Glad to hear the Mercedes engines are so slow.

You also forgot to mention the 6banger 2JZ rwhp is about 235hp what it will take you to get it to 700hp is up to you to figure out
