New Mercedes owner
Hello all. I just bought an absolutely mint Bordeaux Red 2000 E430 with 58,000 miles. I am new to Mercedes so I thought I'd join up to get some knowledge on these cars. Here she is:

Congrats, very nice. Cool color too. I wish there was an E430 near me when I bought my W210 a couple months ago. How much did you pay if you don't mind sharing? I just wanna compare it to what I paid for mine.

I overpaid a bit, but its the "right car." It has all the service records from the dealer (where is was always serviced), the MAFS, brake light switch and motor mounts have already been replaced as well, and it was just aligned. There isn't a ding on it and it only has a couple of light scratches and the interior is immaculate as well and everything works properly and it runs great and shifts smoothly (I will be doing a transmission service in the near future). I searched for weeks and I couldn't find a cleaner 10 year old car (much less 3 year old car). I felt fine getting it for $10.9k after it was listed for $11.9k. I also bought it from a very reputable local dealer, so I don't have any regrets as of yet. I'm also happy its the face-lift model although I wish it were a sport or had HIDs or a cold weather package (originally an Arizona car though) or something; but I won't complain .

2001 E430, Obsidian Black w. Ash/Orion Grey, 195,000 mi.
That's not a bad price given the low miles, good condition and service records. I paid $8750 in mid 2008 but the car had 104K miles. Be happy, you did good! Never seen an E430 in that color. I like the Orion Grey interior, too.

Very nice, clean car! I too am new to the forum, Bordeaux/Java 2000 E430. Bought it two months ago. Wasn't sure about the color at first but it grew on me. Looks great with a light (35) window tint!

You didn't necessarily over-pay. Very low miles and like-new condition. If the maintenance items are a year or so later than those of us who bought cars w/ more like 100K miles, then you are in very good shape.
Most important -- it's a car you really like!!

Time to get rid of those ugly amber side lights:
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...Q5fAccessories
You can also get chrome lenses and "smoky" side markers (might look good w/ bordeaux!)
