I think most of us get our Mobil 1 at a local auto parts store (Pepboys, kragen, autozone, etc.) or at Walmart. But you'll need autohausaz for your filters, trans fluid, etc.

How about amazon.com?![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Amazon has Mobil 1 Syn 0W-40 ECF for $47 for 6 quarts delivered. That's about $8 a quart. Here at Pepboys its about $7.70 including tax.

Note free supersaver shipping may be temporary

System capacity is 8.5 qt or (8 liters) so get 9 if you can buy individuals or two six packs
No problem with shelf life on extras. Just save them for next time.
Here's a list of all MB W210 approved motor oils if you want to search for an alternative.

You can use any of the oils on the list except the 229.51 oils which are for diesels only. Use a fleece media oil filter such as Mann or MB (made by Mann) and the FSS will determine the correct distance between oil changes. However, if you drive less than 10K per year then change at one year intervals instead of mileage.![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
BTW, you asked the very same question -- what oil and filter - in Nov 09 and Ohlord gave the same answer as I just did.
Are you pulling our leg?

It changes all the time
I personally would just use whatever good quality synthetic oil that is available in your area. By law MB cannot tell what oil to use unless they compesate you. All they can do is recommend. For years MB has produced a recommended FUELS AND LUBRICANTS LIST. MFGs provides samples at a cost for MB to test. Those samples are tested and added to the list. In my opinion, MB hooked up with Chrysler to learn the American way of producing, marketing and selling crap. So if MB is pushing Mobil 1, I'm guessing there is a kickback somewhere. I've seen dozens of oil threads where people swear that this or that oil is the best. I've always bought top quality oil that had the best price. I don't care about brand as long as it is a top brand. I had an indie shop for 20 years after I left MB and have logged hundreds of thousands of miles on my cars and client's cars without a problem. If you want to keep buying the in crowd oil. go for it. As for me, I'll keep buying top brands on sale and saving money which helps fund my vacations in Europe, Hawaii, Singapore, etc.
