Here are some diagrams which might help you with what's needed.

The first two are diagrams of the pneumatic tubing for the multi-contour seat option and the third is the wiring for the heated seat option.

The MB documents covering this are:

AN91.25-P-0001A - Retrofitting multi-contour seats

AN91.30-P-0001A - Retrofitting front heated seats - [At the end of this doc there is a mention of a #99 parts kit but no explanation so you might check with the dealer.]

Thanks Richard. Can I get these documents from the dealer or are they archived somewhere accessible? Should I try to get the lines and reservoir from the donor car or buy new and at about what cost? Thanks for the input.

Those documents are part of the WIS. They are on the Star Master Service Manual DVD for W210 (no longer available) or on the MB online WIS. You can join for about $19 for a single day. You can make a list of everything you need, join and download/print it all. You can also get similar information from alldatadiy_dot_com which I think is about $100/yr. But I think the quality of that info is not quite as good (my opinion).

If you're not familiar with these documents, the first page lists the steps to take to perform the procedure. At various steps a second document (link) is referenced. Also, there was a document referenced that explained that if the heated seat does not work you will need to get it coded at the dealer. Makes sense since the car's computer turns off the heated seats automatically under certain conditions or after a certain time since they draw so much electricity.

I would try to get everything I can from the donor car. As for costs I have no idea as I don't even have part nos.

Good luck.

You Will also have to program the PSE to Multicontour present via SDS
so that the PSE will operate the multicontour seats

Unless the PSE is from the donor vehicle...Its all plug and play when the car is apart

I think someone documented doing this swap -- maybe on benzworld? Check it out.

Just spoke with dealer (Rahal MB) regarding this retrofit. They, in parts, did not even know this could be done and I am the only one who has ever posed the question to them. They did not think you could even retrofit these seats into the older model W210. That gives a warm fuzzy feeling. So does anyone know of a shop in the Pittsburgh area that has the capacity to do an install like this or in the Cambridge Ontario (Toronto) area? Not sure if this one is over my head. I am very mechanically inclined but have not done one of these before. Any thoughts are welcome.

The Ventilated/heating portion is straight forward....Did the car originally have heated seats? If so you can re-use your harness and wire up the ventilated portion to the switch. The M-F requires running a line from your PSE pump to each seat. You would need to use SDS to set this feature to on.
