Would 18X10 fit on '99 E430 without rolling the fender?
Hello,
I just bought 18" wheels. The front is 18*8.5 with 245/40/18
and the rear is 18*10 with 275/35/18
My questions:
1. Do I need to roll the rear fenders with 18*10?
2. If I lowered the car, would it be any problem with making a U turn? Do I need to roll the rear fenders?
Thanks in advance. Will post pictures when I got the wheels on.

I predict rubbing all around. But you did not mention the wheels offset to compare. Personnally I don't see the benefit by going wider - 8.5" front and 10" rear with the same size tires that would be on 8" front and 9" rear. That is just added weight.
I changed my offset by only 4mm from 31mm to 35 on 18X8 front and got rubbing inside with 245/40/18. 235/40/18 is usually recommended without fender rolling up front.

I think that as long as you don't lower it, you don't have to roll fenders, and depending on how much you lower it, you'll have to roll fenders.
WHat wheels did you get? Do you know off sets?

The offset it 32mm
Here is the set of wheels I got:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33748
So If put 235/40/18 on the front and 275/35/18 on the rear, I don't have to roll the fender when the car is not lowered. Am I correct?
If I lowered the car, Do I need to lower the fender?
I am sorry for asking so much questions.

Looking at the picture of the E55, you will have serious problems if you lower the car. The E55 doesn't appear to be lowered and already the wheels "looks" too wide.
Don't forget that the E55 had a rolled lip to provide the extra clearance.

Well it should work if you don't lower the car.
If you are really set on keeping the wheels, roll the fenders. If you are opposed to rolling, then there many other great choices of wheels for your car. Put these up for sale. They would look great on an S-Class.

235 front and 265 rear is recommended for all W210 models without fender mods.
linecode, what 245 & 275 tires came on the rims?

I bought the wheels without tires. The owner took it out and put it back to his original AMG wheels. I believed he had Michelin Pilots on them before. BTW, the reason I am trying to get 10" on the rear is because I really like deep lip on it. Thanks for your help and suggestions. I really appreciate it Kev.
