Exclamation Buzzing Sound Coming In AUX Mode

Everytime I plug either my laptop or my phone through AUX, theres a buzzing sound coming from the speakers, and the faster the wheels spin, the higher the pitch gets. Its really annoying, anybody know where the problem might be coming from, or maybe how to fix it? Tried searching on MB forums, and googled it, cant seem to find a solution anywhere.

You should purchase a better audio cable for the aux input. It is engine noise coming through the audio wire. I remember using a noise filter from a car audio store to fix the problem on my Alpine deck for my BMW years ago. I would definitely buy a better wire and see if it fixes the problem first

which cable? I have two cables... One that goes from the headset to the glovebox, and then the actual aux cable from glove box to the phone.

I bought a noise suppressor with 3.5 mm connectors from crutchfield.com. This avoids the need to use RCA phono plug adapters. With the noise suppressor installed, I turn up the volume on my iPod and keep the car radio volume down to minimize the remaining noise.

Zheka, that's normal, or at least that's the way it also is with my car. If I'm not using AUX, I take the COMAND off of it, and when I do use it, I turn up the iPod volume and turn down the COMAND volume. With this setup, the noise is not noticeable to me.

i guess my phones volume is not that high, because the high pitch buzzing sound is really annoying, even when I have the phones volume all the way up

Did you install the noise suppressor yet? Adjusting the volume only helps with it installed.

If your system is stock, its probably a low quality cable. If you have upgraded the amp or added subs the problem can be the power cable's proximity to the signal cables.

Good luck

mike430sport, thanks a lot, you saved the day. I'd give you a hug for fixing my problem. (no not literally lol) the noise filter device fixed the problem. No noise when I drive at all, and no noise when the device is charging. im f****** happy!!! except i didnt buy it at crutchfield.com, they wanted like $25 or something with shipping. So I just got the same one of eBay for less $13 shipped. Thanks again a bunch!!!
