Got the headunit..now speakers!
Well I have the Pioneer 6200BT, not installed yet, and I figured I would upgrade the speakers. My amp set up for 2 ohms and I am not going to mess with rewiring. So, I called Crutchfield and they suggested this.

I found the same speakers on onlincarstereo for $220 shipped. Thoughts? Pros/cons, another 2 ohm suggestions? Not wanting to go crazy, but an upgrade would be nice.
Thanks!

hey... infinity kappas are good, i used to have their 6x9s in my vw some ten years ago, never had any issues .... i'd be weary because of the note below though .... good luck!
fyi... Infinity True Four Ohms— All Kappa speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance “seen” by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Kappa Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.

Looks like I will just stay with the refrence speakers. Thanks!
Okay headunit is in, BUT now the AC controls dont light up. Anyone? Is there a connection between the factory headunit and the AC controls?

Probably just a coincidence that your bulb went out, if your AC is working normally check the bulb. You'll need the special tools to remove it from the dash though...

hey man.... ditto Lancelot..... if a/c works and only bulb is out.... you can use the same stock hu tool to remove (you can see it if you remove the new hu) ... there is one bulb in the bottom center of a/c, you'll need the exact same bulb to replace - check at autohaus .... good luck!

Thanks guys. Just seems like a HUGE coincidence that they happened at the same time. Gonna take it out tomorrow and look. The lights on the AUTO buttons work so I guess it is the bulb.
Thanks!
Thanks!
