i am trying to retrofit a pair of heated and ventilated seats with lumbar in my 98 e430. the seats came out of a 02 e-class. i have the seats with control modules under the seat and partial wiring from the seat module. there are about 15+ wires and i don't have a clue where they. can someone please help me! a pinout for the seat module and wiring diagram would be very helpful. thank you in advance for your assistance.

Thanks I have those diagrams already. I really need to know what each individual wire is for so I will know what to connect each wire to.

I have seen a few pinout lists for MB wiring harnesses but not for the seats. If you are handy with a DVM you can determine power/gound. Also MB generally follows color coding conventions.

i have a crappy, blurred one. i will try to find a clearer one when I'm at work
if I can remember. it may be a day or two. if you can't wait, try getting a
month subscription to AllData. only about $3-4 a week, I recall. then, while
you have access, download all the diagrams and data you can.

i can wait a couple of days. all information will be appreciated. on the seats, i noticed there are 4 connectors under the seats. can you tell me what each of these connectors? i noticed one of the connectors has a clear line coming out of it.

Hello everyone, I’ve been trying to figure out the pinout for the 14-pin connector (A 221 870 50 26) from the seat module. I reviewed the document attached in this thread, but I couldn’t fully understand how the pins are assigned. I’m specifically looking for a clear explanation of which pins correspond to power (positive and ground) and any signal lines (e.g., CAN). Does anyone have a more detailed breakdown or a simpler way to explain it? Thanks in advance for your help! Originally Posted by youngblood

I believe the seats came from a 2004 Mercedes SLK 200. The module I'm working on is labeled Driver A 211 870 49 26 - Passenger A 211 870 50 26.Originally Posted by Plutoe

I’m trying to adapt these seats into another car, so I need to figure out the pinout for the 14-pin connector—mainly the power (positive and ground) and any signal wires (CAN or others).
Let me know if more information is needed. Thanks again for your help!

Thank you for pointing me to the MB EPC!
I found the exact module at nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/epc/mercedes/1/fg/171442/66v/91/090/, the part number is A 21 187 040 85.
Now, I need help understanding the detailed pinout for the connectors of this module. My goal is to evaluate the possibility of adapting these seats into a non-Mercedes vehicle while maintaining the seat adjustment functions and memory features. If anyone has a clear breakdown of the pin functions or resources that could help, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thanks again for all the support!
