About 3 years ago I put the Speedybenz adjustable rear camber arms on since I had lowered my car and needed them to get into alignment specs.

I've noticed a new squeaking noise coming from them now. Is this common after a few years of use? Any way to lube them? Or are they worn out?

Thanks.

My speedybenz arms occasionally squeak. It doesn't bother me much. I know Ghostrider on the W208 forum recently updated the design on his camber arms with a rubber (or similar) insert to eliminate the squeak. You might try contacting him.

Same thing happens with the Lens Solo design. Both are not prelubed. I lubricate mine at the beginning of each summer and no sqeaks.

I use white lithium grease in a spray can from the local auto parts store. It stays in place and seeps into the bearing surfaces and does not run off.

I also have these arm and realize the arms tend to wiggle/ have play recently. Is this normal or does this mean the bushings are busted?

Have they ever been lubricated? If not and they have been in there a while then the bearing surfaces may be worn. There should be no play in the arms.

I dont think they have ever been lubricated. You are right, the bearing/bushing may be worn. I also see some purple/reddish grease around the bearings. Does that mean I have to get new arms? I don't think his bushing/bearings are replaceable. Even so, it will take him years to produce.

Has anyone tried Ghostriders camber arms? I am thinking to replace those.

Thanks.

Old thread but I think mine have worn out as both my rear hubs move quite a bit when car is on jack stands. Tire guy noticed when replacing rear tires and showed me. Gonna take the car to suspension guy Saturday.

What's up Carl! This is my first post here in like a decade. lol About to list my C43/55, so am reviving my forum accounts to collect info from threads.

Just saw this. As you know, my car has a full speedybenz suspension, with 6 adjustable links. I had a few [ or maybe it was all?] rod-ends replaced a few years ago after showing signs of wear.. Let me know if you still need yours fixed and I'll look-up where I bought them from.

All the best,
Steve

I bought new rod ends from QA1 Precision Products, Inc.. http://www.qa1.net/

Here are the specs I was sent on the control arms by TKX Performance who measured them, then did the install and alignment:

left hand thread & right hand thread
5/8"-18 pitch
Bore on heim joints 0.625"
Threaded length 1.5". The rod ends I bought from QA1 have sku XMR10 & XML10.
