I too just had an accident on my 2000 E320... a gal in a 128i bimmer took a left turn through two lanes of cars waiting for a light (they made a "spot" for her) to pull into a restaurant parking lot, she didn't stop to look if there was anybody else coming and just gunned it... 10 ft. in front of me when I was doing about 25. I think I thought about braking, then BOOM and I couldn't hear anything for about 5 minutes because of the airbag, man that thing is loud! But, between that and the seatbelt, I didn't get hurt at all. And the front of my W210 wasn't hurt that bad either (the 128 was way worse), but they ended up totaling my rig.

However, I lucked out... found an excellent 2003 E320 over in an exclusive Seattle dealership that they needed to move as they needed the space, made the transaction over phone, e-Mail, and scanned docs, and lucked out as my Uncle was driving back over with his son and daughter coming home for the holidays and they let him drive it back to our side of the state. Awesome new car, looks, feels, and drives like a brand new rig:

Even though I loved my Green Hornet, this was truly a example of a bad thing turning very good, as I really love my W211, the "Nizzle" (long story). Wish I could have saved the wheels, but I'll try my damnedest to wear the existing tires out ASAP!

At the end of the day, all we can be thankful for is our health. Our cars definitely took one for us. Now enjoy your w211!

I've got a great shot of it, I'll post it when I figure out where I put it. They say the memory is the second thing to go, but I can't remember what the first is...
