EURO comand and TV in motion
In case anyone is interested, I had access to stardiagnose with pre june 2002 software last saturday and I had several euro spec W210 comands reprogrammed to make them suiteable for TV (DVD) while in motion...
The non reprogrammed comands cost 1400USD installed (excluding the 250USD costing wood panel) and the reprogrammed ones only cost 100USD more (which probably sounds better then the 450USD I saw quoted by a USA based company on the net)...
All reprogrammed comands are refurbished and come with a 3 month warranty...

Euro COMAND
I have a US COMAND in my 2001 E-430. I understand the Euro COMAND has the RDS system. Does the Euro COMAND use the same CDs as the US system, or does it use a DVD?
Also, do you offer an upgrade to convert the US COMAND, or a trade-in value?

Both US and euro comands are basically the same...the cheapest option for you is to go to your MB dealership and have them activate the blank TV button (10 minutes programming max)...MB will most probably not be able to get rid of the speedrelated interlock though...
Euro comand does have RDS...US and euro comands use the same navigation CDs.

Steve did the COMAND install in my w210 with the TV Tuner, antenna's, wires, CD Changer...etc...
the job came out incredible, the DVD player works MINT, the NEXTEL car kit was hard wired for my i95cl and hooked up with a factory mercedes switch to pick up / hang up the phone, and walkie talkie to my friends... when im driving to Work im watching the morning news...
Came in really handy durring my Montreal trip and especially the Black-Out... All my neighbors were amazed.

If I get the TV activated at the dealer, will it play DVDs? Also, if I get the tuner, will it play DVDs or cd?
I thought my 2001 E430 US COMAND only accepted cds.

it will only play dvd if u have TV tuner instaleld
and a dvd player connected to tv tuner
