Is There a Genuine Mercedes W210 Headlight Wiring Harness Replacement?
I have a USA model 2001 E430 with standard halogen headlights. Like a lot of other people, my headlight wiring insulation has disintegrated and I'm getting shorts. I tried some electrical tape as a temporary fix, but I really want replacement headlight wiring harnesses.
There is an aftermarket harness available on Amazon / Ebay, so I bought one of those to try it. After installing it, I discovered that that the low beam and inner light work but the new harness isn't sending 12V to the high beam socket. That socket looks pretty crummy anyway.
So I want to just replace both headlight harnesses with new genuine Mercedes factory parts. However, despite searching this and other forums and Google, I can't find a part number for a replacement harness. (I tried to subscribe to EPC-net but it won't take my subscription info for some reason.)
Anyway, does such a thing exist? If so, could you please share the part number with me? The parts guy at my dealer had trouble finding the right page on his computer for the headlight parts, and in the past, if I wanted a specific part, they could only find it if I had the part number.
If there is not a factory harness available, I think I will just rewire the factory sockets, but I'd really rather not have to do that.

Out Of Control!!
I tried to use EPC to provide an answer to your question, however there are too many combinations. Call a dealer, provide your VIN and see what they say!!

You may be better off jsut reworking the aftermarket harness like I did. The pins weren't all seating properly. I'm guessing any dealer part will be exorbitantly priced.

OK, so I brought my VIN to the dealer and got another parts guy to look at it. Apparently the headlight wiring only comes in a package with the motor wiring harness... it is not available separately, at least as far as he could tell on EPC.
Looks like I'll have a second look at what might be wrong with the aftermarket harness and I'll see if I can't improve upon it with some DIY.

Yes there is and I just bought one from my (UK) dealership today
Yes, there is such a thing, but it has to be ordered as a repair kit. It comes with the bulb holder and small length of wire (circa 8 inches). It took a couple of days for my dealership to get it in and all in it cost circa 5 Great British Pounds.
I will post photo and part number later. If you are unable to get one where you live, I might be able to help.

Here is a photo and part number
Here is a photo of the headlamp harness spare part I picked up from my local MB dealership today having ordered it a couple of days ago. Unusually the dealership did not take payment until this part arrived as they weren't too sure what I would be getting using the part number they found on their the computer.
The part number is MA2108200013 and it is for a single main dipped beam headlamp on the W210. There are two wires which will require connecting to the existing harness. Now does anyone know what the Mercedes specification is for this (i.e. crimp or solder)?

The 210 820 00 13 is stocked in the USA. Sells for five bucks.
If you return to the dealer they, via EPC will be able to identify the conection type/method.

I recognize this is an old thread but I am hoping you can give feedback on how this worked out for you as I am now in the same situation. Did you crimp OR solder and how did it work out for you?
