New member here with an 02 E430 sport brabus question

i just bought an 02 E430 sport that came with original sports wheels, will my monoblock III's fit with my orinal lug bolts or do i need spacers and different bolts?
heres a pic of the wheels on my LS400 with adapters.

ill post pics of the 210 when the weather clears up, its been raining all week.

That's a hard question to answer when you give absolutely no information about the wheels.

thanks for the reply renault. i shouldve been more clear.

i wasnt asking about diameter wise or rubbing wise, i was asking about the hub mating surface. can i use my stock lug bolts or do i need different ones or spacers?

im kind of experienced on stance and fitment on Lexus vehicles so i can deal with making wheels fit without rubbing.

heres the specs though 20x9.5 +35 all around, 225-35-20 tires with a mild stretch.

i am sure you are aware that there are two types of seat on bolts, and i think brabus are different to mb,take a wheel off and measure how much the bolt pokes through the wheel, then compare to the brabus wheel, the back wheels are the ones to watch, too long and you will chew your hand brake shoes up. Fit the wheel and spin it,listen for noise, before driving.check centre bore, you may need hub rings. i think you will need one inch spacers on front,i think they will stick out beyond the wing though. can you make fronts an inch narrower ? et 35 on 8.5 is good for front

thanks Matts!

what do i need 1" spacers for in the front? the front calipers dont look big at all, i do have lorinser 7mm spacers that are hubcentric to the wheels and the hub that i was planning to use on the front.

about the wheels they are 9.5" wide i cant make them narrower. but the tires are a little stretch. im going to test fit today.

its not the caliper thats the problem, its the strut i think, when you go round corners and the wheel is turned inward,i think you will have a problem then, also tire size needs to be checked. if the overrall diameter is different to factory spec, you may have anything from no abs,esp to cruise control not working, check on a tire calcultor

So long as the diameter of the wheels is the same all round then ABS etc will work correctly...even if the diameter is smaller/bigger than specified.

i see what you mean it was rubbing on that metal arm that holds the steering knucle, i added another thin spacer. it worked out well because my stock lug bolts were sticking out alot more on the brabus wheels than the stock.

Looking good. Perhaps lowering by an inch or two all round would really set it off.

what would be your best suggestion for lowering? normally i would go with coilovers but i dont want that much of a drop and then have to deal with a lot of negative camber.

Nice rims! I did a stud kit with Honda ball seat lugs for my monoblock VIs. #1 pads and eibach springs would give you a nice 2 inch drop.

thanks! i stiil have my honda ballseat lugnuts that i used on my ls400, im going to look into the stud conversion.

i like the eibach springs but im not familiar with #1 pads, what is that?
with the 2" drop can i get my camber close to spec or will it be way off?
i was running -3.5 all around before but i rather not have too much negative camber on this car.

There are rubber pads that the top of the coil springs sit in. Mercedes sells them in different thicknesses to adjust the height of the car based on the weight of the different options it was ordered with. The pads have from 1-5 bumps on them. 1 is the shortest and 5 is the tallest. Here is a link with a pic and some part numbers.

Our cars can be within spec at around -2.5 degrees camber I believe. With eibach springs I was still within spec...until I cut a coil lol.

Unfortunately the pics I had were on imagestation, lol. had to look back to my posts from 2005. If you look at my build thread you can see with one coil cut in front in the first pic. that's on 20s. The rears with no coils cut was in spec, but the front was pretty cambered out...went through tires like mad.

What do you guys think about these 19" AMG wheels I just got? I'm going to try them on Monday, hope they fit without any spacers.

i have no idea of prices in us but here in europe they would be worth about 800€. imho amg monoblocks, like the e55 are the best suited wheel for w210,especially with the sport kit,but if you do go ahead with these just check they are original as there are lots of fake versions on this design, you may need some custom bolts if they have 14mm bolt holes also. good luck
