I'm having a issue with my 220 Diesel. Sometimes the EPC lamp stays on after starting the car, but then disappear after one or two restarts.
I'm thinking a bad sensor or something, but i'm kinda fresh to both the car and mercedes in general. Anyone had a similar issue?![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

Would be very grateful for any help at all!

That's the thing, if i don't restart my car and leave the light on, nothing changes. It still handles and sounds the same, no cut-off issues or nothing.. Think i need to get my hands on an OBD reader to figure this one out..

So today i visited the local MB workshop and had them diagnose the car for me. They didn't get much out of the errors as some of it points to a faulty diesel pump, which i find implausible since i can drive the car just as fine WITH the warning-light, as without.
Hoping someone here with any experience could help me with understanding the codes, as i'm new to the whole OBD-scene..
Thanks in advance![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

UPDATE!
The light persists, but since winter temperatures are here, the first time i start the car, the light disappears till next time i restart the car, then it's the same procedure.
Any ideas?

Looking at the old HHT tester results it looks like you have a low voltage situation and therefore I suspect that you have issues with your charging system----In any event that is where I would start!!!

Noticed tonight that the interior lights flimmer when i use the el. windows/roof. Could this be of the same issue? If so, what could cause this?

It will be easier if you can use "multi-meter ", cause #s in the meter will tell if alternator is working well,
If the alternator is working well, your multi-meter should read between (13.6>>>14.4),
If it is reading higher than 14.8>>15.5 volts (greater than 15 volts) it is possible that the alternator regulator going bad,
If meter reading lower than 12.8<<<13.2 volts, it may have bad battery or engine idle is too low for the alternator to put out sufficient voltage,,
also check the condition of your battery & v-belt isn't get loose...
