AMG rims on the e320!!!

i have a 99 e320 and i think 17' or 18' AMG chrome monoblock rims (like the e55) would look great on it. But im only 17 yrs old so i dont think the $2000 is very pracitical 4 me. U guys kno where i can get a good deal on sum rims?

there are a couple companies that make knockoff amg's that look fairly identical, aside from the AMG symbol on the wheel. I think theyre made by intra. check the website for bestdealsonwheels or bekkers.com might sell them. They are around. Also, check the classifieds on mbnz.org, ppl sell wheels out of there weekly.

You can also go to or contact a used wheel shop for real AMG wheels. They recondition the wheels. Good Luck.

Brabus

You can also find some knockoffs of the Brabus multipiece. Here's what they would look like on your '99 E320 (minus the body kit, headlight rings, etc).

I once saw a set of used E55 wheels/tires for sale for $800 at my dealers( Buffalo, NY) You should call a few different dealerships' parts departments to see what they have. I am not into buying "knock-off" things for my Mercedes and I won't recommend you to also.

Hey Ryson nice car!! I have a stock 98' 430 and i was hoping to do the same stuff, Brabus wheels and body kit etc. How much does it cost for the whole conversion? i don't really want knockoff's..but like garybegood, i'm 16 and the price is something to worry about.

you have a Very slick car! hope mine can look like that someday..

Replicas are ok if price is more important as the kid stated. They are not like a replica Rolex made from inferior products. Mercedes does not make their own wheels they are made for them by other companies. Probably whomever wins the lowest bid. Replicas have the same German TUV rating. Not considering replicas would be like saying don't buy Brabus or Lorinser because they are not made by Mercedes. Price is the issue for this young buyer.

99' E320

Actually, that's not a pic of my car. I came across this image a while back. I'm pretty sure it's a pre-00' model due to the front bumper lines but this person did install the 00' tail lights (horizontal bar style). I just got Brabus rims on mine. I've seen used Brabus V (one piece - without rivets) for $1500 with tires one time. Keep an eye out for them on this sites marketplace, ebay, etc. Just giving you an option other than AMG to help you along in your quest. Not sure what the body kit would cost. I don't remember the pricing but you can contact Brabus and have them fax you a price listing for your model. They're very helpful. My only advice is don't go overboard. I've seen a few people put too much crap on their MB's. They must have that Honda/Integra mentality. Sometimes less is more. Just like the E55's, just enough to bring out the car's true styling.

hey Ryson

i agree with your not going over board with too much..i still want my car looking German, not some riced up Civic:o

1500 for 1 or for a set of 4? and how much are the brand new ones? and i'm more interested in the pre 00 stylings because mine is pre-00 hehe..that's why...and those black things under the silver doesn't exactly look good with the car, rather boxy and slushy look, that's why i want a body kit.

Brabus rims

Yup... $1500 for a set of 4 with Pirelli's on them. Of course they're long gone by now but that's just an example of a deal you can find if you look hard enough. I believe there's a Brabus IV on ebay right now. Brand new Brabus V single piece are around $500 each. V Multipiece (as shown in that pic I posted are $1100 each. I'd get at least 18"x8.5 rims if I were you. If you get 225/40's or 235/40's tires, you still maintain very close to the overall stock tire diameter setup so you don't lose anything (ie. acceleration, rubbing, etc). And you also get the "lowered look" without messing with the suspension. I looked up some pricing in my brabus file and a front spoiler would run you $625, Side skirts, $580 and rear = $620. I agree about the ugly black underside of the pre'00 models. That's why I got a '00. They re-did the front fascia and bottom mouldings. Looks a lot better.

Thanks for the prices Ryson! but 625 us dollars for the FRONT skirt only?? that's a little steep..no? or do i just not know the prices for other companies such as Renntech or Lorinser? have anyone seen their prices?

so the total conversion i'd want to make would cost me roughly 3825US dolalrs....or 5700CAN...wow...i'd rather get an Accuphase cd-player with that money but then again..a benz deserves the best.

can anyone suggest any other companies that would make life easier?

thanks!

Lightbulb 1999 E430 sport wheels/tires

If you're still looking, I just took the stock 17" MB 5 spoke wheels and new Dunlop S500 tires (< 1k miles) off my '99 e430 sport (replaced with 18" Borbet wheels, Dunlop tires)

How much do you want for them, and what size are the tires?

Piece of SH*T
Whatever you do, do not buy from bestdealsonwhls.com. The guy "AL" who sold me a set of wheels screwed me over! Sent me a bent rim and told me it only had minor curb rash..the curb rash was about 5 inches long! How is that sh*t "minor"..Now he hasn't respond to my emails after he agreed to pay for the repairs, I'm not going to let him screw anyone else over so I'm going to let everyone know and every website that involves his name in it..anyways I don't want to go on any longer..just don't buy wheels from that guy until you see them personally then that's your decision..as for me being in California and him in NJ..I don't have time to pay him a visit to look at some wheels when I could of trusted him but I got tooken for my money..life sucks but he'll get it coming to him.
