Never ending debate: What color calipers to get
This is for another member, black W210 with black spoked wheels, polished lip.....red will be a hot favorite but it is a little too common. Here's a few examples (sorry no W210s or black wheels tho'):
Yellow - I think this'll work with the color and wheel combination quite well):
Silver/chrome - sporty but subtle (first one's with hot BBS LM's):
Blue (different shades) - a bit understated but not too bad (better on white or silver IMO):
Black (classic, easy maintenance but will probably be too much with the black wheels):
Classic red...works everytime (note, its a Porsche kit on a Bimmer...works on a Benz too but $$$$$....) - I know Rich, you've already got red ones:
Gold....mmmmmm....:
What do you think guys?

So when ya gonna doing the yella calipers?
Having one wheel off already might just be a good excuse to break out the paint can and start work.....before the paint dries up on ya

I too like the yellow calipers, and had the opportunity to examine the product today against silver vs black wheels...on a black car w/black wheels the yell-ohh is a strong statement and maybe a bit too strong for my taste, I feel it takes away some on the characteristics of the wheels...or maybe it's just my **** way of thinking...
However, against a brush aluminum, silver or chrome wheel, real pimp looking...wouldn't even give it a second thought!
I agree w/ Jimmy, the classic look of red is always a safe choice...and the subtle look of silver is nice too. Race Technologies, master distributors for Brembo quoted $12K for the track edition gold calipers...waaay too deep for my pockets!

Im definitely doing the yellow calipers,,,,ala e430mike I think his name was.I will certainly post the pics,,,,got the new wheel,,2 days,new tire just in case..Front end feels OK!
Then that should do it for the outside,,just that one lil mod...............Comand

Are you doing the Brembo GT in yellow calipers? Race Technologies is charging an additional $250 per set w/ a 2 week waiting period....got any hookups for faster service?

hmmmmmmmm, here i go......i would have a color that stands out since that's what you want it to do unless you want it just to blend in......... i'm stuck between a new bumper or a stoptech big brake kit???????????

IMHO, if you're really on a budget (but it certainly doesn't seem so.....), the new bumper has a bigger impact. You can still paint your calipers first (forgot to mention...the purply/pink tha Hank has on his engine color is another cool alternative on white). Maybe get the brakes later. That's JMHO.

Rich I'll be honest........
I find the stock calipers,,with the yellow(porterfields)paint is good for me for now,cause I got other plans for the $.Whi$tey is right,this car stops faster than anything I ever pushed.I use the street(Turnpike) for a track,when its lonely,and even with the crater I hit, the thing brakes straight no hands..02$
(ok,slight vibe from 60-65)gotta get alignment,
