How best to clean an enclosed part with a check valve

Hey folks. Meet a real pain in the ***.

This here is an evap check valve from a 2001 e320 AWD wagon and thankfully most of you won't find this on your vehicle as this car is a Japanese made model and this piece is an extra over and above part on top of the charcoal canister for emissions standards that yes also includes that pesky plunger valve that goes bad as well.

In my case I've replace the purge valve under the hood and then replaced the plunger valve on top of the canister. Everything was fine for about a week and the mass emission leak code that was preventing me from passing a test for car registration was fine. Then like mentioned after a week I got a P0446 code and this puppy is the reason.

I've pulled it to clean as this little gem is worth over 400 bucks, generally around 500 and change if you're unlucky as I am to have a Japanese version. Of course they have much higher emission standards than we do.....mind you they sure didn't apply that thinking to their nuclear reactors did they? Too soon? Sure, I'm frustrated.

In any case now I have to clean this thing somehow. But it seems like a self enclosed jobbie, so I'm here to ask you all what would you clean the interior with? Soak the inside in WD 40? Leave it overnight and then dump and let stand for a day?

Thoughts?

And the winner is......

Mass Air Flow cleaner. Because I literally live on the ridge of the Manzano mountain range and 15 miles from the nearest civilization!
....and it's all I got.

Cross your fingers folks. If this works...well then it works

Neat, another new thread about the same thing you keep posting. Your journey and posts with this would have been 100% more helpful for people doing searches if you kept it all to 1 thread. Instead you post a new thread for every new revelation that you have on this part that most people won't have to deal with.

Oh I see, sorry to offend your forum etiquette Mr. Blackwell. I'll make sure this is the last post here. And I won't be back.

Can't take some constructive criticism? How is splitting a problem into several separate threads more beneficial than making one thread and updating it?

I don't give two ****s about the problem you're having, but it's a somewhat unique one and people could be helped (years from now probably) if it's easy to find all of the info needed in one thread.

I'm sorry some common sense was a such a blow to your personal worth that you won't post on here anymore. If you're that easily upset you don't belong on forums. Sorry I didn't coddle you and try to not hurt your feelings. Go see your mommy, she'll make everything ok.

Seeing Plutoe having administrators support, I am not sure about it.
Coming to original question. If the valve has gasoline- based build up, you can buy safety fluids to dissolve it, or even kerosene should do it.
Any picture of the interiors? The android snake cameras cost like $10 and that would be good point to use one.

I talked to my friend who cleaned that valve before, he said; he used contact cleaner, then blows air in it,,

it's back to life, no issue with it, since that day..

1) yes you're right Zayed and thanks to you the car is now fixed. No codes, no check engine light. The emissions system is 100 percent. I cleaned that evap check valve with MAS airflow and I literally soaked it in all the ports until that stuff was running out like water.
2) yes you're right I should have lost my cool with that f**kstick who came in and started giving me a hard time about not having my threads in the right place. I'll ignore him next time! Thanks Zayed your help was instrumental and for the first time in 3 years there's NO check engine light on my car and ZERO codes from my Actron OBD scanner
