I think she's retaining water (E420)
My 97 E420 (63K miles) seems to hold water. For 2 days after a wash (and now running the a/c) water continues to collect in the floor of the garage.
It seems and looks like water and doesn't appear to be coing form the washer fluid reserve. I looked down onto the plastic shelve below the radiator and it is certainly collecting there (I assume from the a/c right now).
I don't recall this before... Anyone else with this problem. I am going to break my neck slipping on the water!

Maybe her water broke and about to spring a new baby Benz. Just kidding. how much water was it found? If it was small amount, it can be the overflow of your coolant. The A/C only drip very small amount of water. If it's a lot, it's probably where the frame or the undercarriage tend to trap water from a car wash. I've noticed it when I washed my car, and when it was parked on a incline or hill, i see a lot of water spilling from under.

A baby Benz would be nice. Maybe a two seater!
It's a lot of water. A 2 foot round area that I clean up 2-3 times before it stops. Washed the car yesterday and of course much worse. Removed (opened) a few of the small panels on the bottom front underside to let any water out but that wasn't the trick... not the worst thing as long as the car is ok......
Thanks.....

Water Sloshing All Over
I'm having a similar problem. For the last few weeks I can hear water sloshing around in the base of the car when I stop short or make turns.
I can only assume that it is rain water collecting somewhere. On a '97 E320 does anybody know how to drain it out of wherever it is?

Check on the body member underneath each side rocker panel near the jack points. You'll see a rubber gasket (dimple shaped) near the forward side. These are designed to let water escape from the carriage but they often get jammed with dirt as they have a cross slit in the middle. Poke up in there with your finger or a small screwdriver and you should loosen things up so it drains properly.

My new conspiracy theory is that my wiper fluid reservoir is leaking… The low fluid warning came on yesterday and I haven't used any since it was filled a few months ago.
Anyone have experience taking it out?
