E320 4Matic Wagon rear subframe needed
Earlier this year I bought a cheap E320 Wagon that I really like so far, and by cheap I mean $400 cheap. I lowered it a bit, threw some new wheels and tires, replaced rusty fenders, did valve cover gaskets, replaced rotors and pads, fixed rear hydraulic suspension leaks, etc. You know normal maintenance.
Looking at it on my lift yesterday the rear subframe is rusted really bad in certain spots, I need to replace it but I am finding it very difficult to find a used one anywhere. I found new ones from MB but its around $750.
I was wondering if any of you W210 fans have any available for sale?
Thanks

There were two wagons at Harry’s U Pull It (wegotused.com) in Hazleton, PA when I was there 12/26. These were 2000-2002 models so they would fit your car. Both were not structurally damaged in the rear.

thank you for finding that, looks like they have a whole bunch
I found one locally out of a 2001 E430 as well, does anyone know if all the rear subframes were same for W210 chassis?

What I do is find the part number and then look it up on a dealer parts website. They will list what models it fits. Idk if the sedan and wagon are the same.
If this is the part 210-350-37-08 it looks like all W210s will work.

it appears they are all A 210 350 37 08. Only thing I was worried about if mounting points for self leveling rear on the wagon was different but I guess its same..

That's a good price as removing one from a junk yard would be some work. I've read that if you are going to "rebuild" the rear suspension you should remove this piece and work from there. I don't know which other parts, if any, you plan to replace, but you should look at bushing # 204-352-00-27. At 200k miles on my wagon a lot of the rear suspension was worn, but these were shot. it's the bushing that connects the lower rear control arm to the knuckle.
