What Brake Pads Are You Using?
Dust, noise, stopping power, rotor wear, etc.

Less dust, but also stopping power is poor. Perhaps the overall design of the brake system is marginal?
Been looking to upgrade brakes since I don't think pads, rotors and stainless steel lines are going to make *that much* of a difference.
The AMG C32, stoptech, and of course Brembos are at the top of the list.
Hope that helps,

Is this so and is to upgrade pre-MY00+ and none 4matic w210's to these rotors? What else would be required?

EBC pads are the 2nd set with these rotors. Rotor wear is good, not as much wear lip on the out edge. I have about 30k miles on these rotors.
EBC have less dust, but the feel is different than the stock ATE pads. I am not sure if stopping power is less, but pedal feel is not as precise as before.
Also, slight squeal at low speeds just before stopping when the pads are hot in temperature.
When I used the stock ATE pads, I had no squealing and pedal feel was more precise. Dust, dust, dust was the issue. I thing the dust has some lubricating properties that stop the squeal at the same time though.

I have used Axxis MetalMasters before on other cars with excellent results.

I paid about $100 for a set of four Axxis Deluxe PLUS pads.

.....doesn't after they cool down. Is that a character of slotted rotors?
Also very little dust, less than the metal masters on the porsche.

I have always been very happy with Axxis (Repco, PBR, etc.) pads. Have MetalMasters on my Porsche also. Had MetalMasters on my old E420. The Deluxe PLUS pads supposedly take the Deluxe product another step forward in stopping power, low noise, and less dust.
