Which car to buy?
HEre are the cars I'm looking at. All of them will have to be shipped, so that's an extra 700-1000 bucks. The white one is in california.
My favorite color is tectite grey and I absolutely love black interior
What would you pick?
2000 Tectite Gray/Gray 43k miles $21k FL
2001 Tectite Gray/Black 75k miles, sport kit, Comand, $22k NY
2000 White/Black 73k miles $21k CA (no shipping)
2001 Silver/Black rear sunshade, 67k miles $19K TX

If you're not too fussed about the color i.e. just a "nice to have", as a general rule I would go with the one which gives you the best counter offer and condition (if you could ascertain it from where you are). Besides that, my rationale for your decision between those cars, ignoring shipping would be:
1. 2000 White/Black 73k miles $21k CA (no shipping): You already have a white one in the family, unless you have any particular reasons why you would want another, I would rule that one out in the frist instance since mileage and asking price is comparable to the rest.
2. 2000 Tectite Gray/Gray 43k miles $21k FL: low miles is a winner here but you'd want to also consider it is a year older than the other three, which might have some bearing on the resale value - you might lose out financially in the end. Also, IMO, the grey interior looks best with blackbirdseye and brown wood goes better with a black leather.
3. 2001 Tectite Gray/Black 75k miles, sport kit, Comand, $22k NY: The command and sport kit does seem to justify the price over the silver one, if you wish to resurrect "Dr AMG" (and I would recommend the Carlsson lip for the E55 if that's the case). However, the sport kit would be wasted anyways if you're going to change the body kit, whilst the command (and color) may still justify this choice, if that's what you really want (what about your kicka$$ ICE in that case?).
4. 2001 Silver/Black rear sunshade, 67k miles $19K TX: Lower miles, a year younger. Seems like a winner in terms of value but personally I can't imagine your pimp a$$ in a silver car.
Hope this helps

Like Hank said. Otherwise I'd be in a 55 already. ::sigh::
Yeah, and I'm 24. ah, I guess that's what I get for living at home. Need to graduate already!!
Anyway, Whitey you have addresses the concerns I had for each cars. Right now, only the Silver 2001 is the one that is interesting to me.
FastE55, where to look locally? I look in the autotrader, but there doesn't seem to be anything that is suitable to me. Either too high miles, or too expensive. OTher than the autotrader, recycler and ebaymotors, where where I can look for socal cars?

Doctor, obviously there will be mods planned for your car in the future but no matter how much you spend on modifications, there are certain things that you simply cannot modify and must come "inherent" with the car. So, if I were you I would first shortlist the cars that would have the least mods required and there are certain accessories that I would require in looking at a car. In that regard I would require:
- E430 (if you can afford it)
- Xenon lamps with built-in lamp washers.
- Heated seats or multi-contour.
- Bose sound system.
- Rear window shades
- COMAND (last because this can be installed later on of course)
Once I see a choices of cars with the above required OEM accessories, then I will start short-listing them based on color and miles.

Now that car has a bit more room (at least it has a mini back seat), has the looks and drives like a mini jet!
