Goodbye Fellow W211 Owners
Well it's been a great 12 month with everyone and a great big thanks to all the people who helped me with contact informaton within MB. Many people have followed my brake failure saga for the past 5 months and after 5 months of harrasing my dealership they finally agreed to eat the 12k difference and take back my defective e500. A special thanks to Steve(MbenzNL) for his impeccable timing and doing everything possible to make sure I didnt have to lose any money while returning the vehicle. Within 24hrs of contacting him everything was removed, so for anyone who had doubts about the man just leave them at the door. I leased a 2006 CLS500 with pretty much everything the e500 had and am very happy with the outcome of everything. I leased the cls50 for 24months and it only worked out to around 3500 more than the e500 would have been to finish the lease; so all in all not a bad deal.
The overwhelming response for my parts and the quick turnaround on them was also great, thanks guys! Below are the few parts left if anyone is interested:
1> w211 MB oem tv tuner
2> Pewter impact strips
3> w211 Sport LED tailights <The ones from the sport package>
4> Burlwood + Charcoal Leather Heated Wood Wheel
5> v60x phone system + phone

Hi Frankie
I'm sorry to hear that your E just didn't work for you but on the same note, I'm glad that everything worked out great in your favor.
Yup, Steve is a great guy and in fact I'll be visiting him in a few days time
GL with your new set of wheels .... may the mod begin again ??? : )

Your telling me, lol. I was so specific for them not to drill holes since I have Florida registration, and sure enough HOLES. When I went to the dealer to pick up my car I wouldnt sign and take delivery until they gave me an IOU for a new front bumper. Im actually leaving the house right not to go and drop off the car so they can put a non-drilled bumper on.

Fazooley,
Well, I did it little differently - I took the front bumper lisc. plate holder from the CLS and kept it the whole time to make sure the guy who washing my car before the delivery not to drill that into the front bumper.

I guess we did the same thing E500 swap to CLS500. Mine has the AMG kit and rims that I LOVE it so much!
Cheers!

Congrats on the new CLS! I wasn't too moved by it when I saw it at the auto show last year, but now that I've seen them on the road and in motion I think they look wicked!
I'm even trying to convince hubby to get into one.. lol
