Does anybody actually know?
Thanks for posting the link. It seems that many people speculate that it's a photoshop mock-up, but nobody claims to actually know whether (or when) the new styling is planned to come out. Since 2006 E-classes are already on sale in the USA (in E350 trim), I'd assume we won't see any new design until the 2007 model year. That's just an assumption though ....
P.S. I think (speculate) that the Autobild photos suggest an effort to establish a common appearance among the E class and the new S class and CLS class. Currently the CLS has the "newest" look of MB cars on the dealer lots -- but the CLS will never sell nearly the volume of cars as the E class. When the new S class arrives, the W211 design may start looking dated. Just think how boring the CL now looks.

But we could be in for a surprise...

I like the E-c;*** design a LOT. Elegant AND sporty. I hope thgey do not *******ize it by making it a CLS clone. I took a long hard look at the CLS and to be honest, it looks a bit slab sided. In some colors it looks worse then others. On the other hand, the E looks very well integrated from any angle.
I also LOVED the old (89-95) bodies. Very conservative yet elegant.

Well.....
The picture at the beginning of this thread just made it to my september automobile mag. They claim a new e-class in 2009 MY. They also claim the freshening will be all new bumpers (front / rear) possibly fenders and doors.

So, model life increased from 5 year to 7. It's a good sign, than longer life than better model. I can't imagine that it's possible to make something better than current E. Can you?
