E Dimensions vs 750i

I am starting to think about my next car and am considering the 750i. Can you guys tell me if the length, width and weight will be substantially different from the E. Here are the figures:

Overall length E 189.7 in vs 750i 198.4 in
Overall width E 71.7 in vs 750i 74.9 in
Curb weight E 3,703 lb vs 750i 4486 lbs

Are these really substantially different numbers? Will it be a hassle to drive a bigger 7 in the city?

If you are concerned about size when driving in the city, consider the turning radius. I don't have the info for either car but it is more important than a few inches in girth or lenght. My $.02

BTW, where did you get such a low weight for the E? I thought it was over 4,000.

P.S. Wheelbase too.

4 wheels
I have driven the new 750li which is larger than the 750i and honestly it will not be difficult to drive in the city at all. It turns very much like the E and has excellent road feedback. The ride is not only smoother, yet it is more pronounced and offers excellent handling.

It came from the MB site. It is the E350 but probably without any equipment.

I see. They list the E55 at 4087.

I have been doing the research on a bunch of this stuff, and came up with the E320 CDI ('05 model) and the E55 as both just over 4000, while the 350 is 3780 and the 500 is 3920 - with base options.

Luxury1- I cant really answer your question about size, and I have never been in an E Class, but I can tell you that the 750i is a great car and I dont think you will be dissapointed... but that probally didnt help your decision at all

This isn't an apples to apples comparison. The BIMMER should be compared to an S-Class. They both have the same turning circle despite a difference of four inches in wheelbase (117" vs. 121").

The E-Class should be compared to the 5-Series BMW.

One other point is a huge difference in cost. If I could afford a 750I, I'd certainly take if over my E-Class (and maybe over an S500).

Traction shouldn't be a problem with the Bimmer with the right tires.
