Need advice on lowering leased car
My car is a 2004 E320 sport with airmatic and im thinking about getting 19 inch rims. I would like to lower the car the easiest way possible, being that the car is airmatic i heard of a lowering module that can lower the car electronically. This sounds like it would be a great but i dont want to pay a **** load of money for this part as I heard its very expensive. Installing it may be expensive as well as removing it too but i dont have specific information.
My question is.. is it easier to just buy some eibach springs and put the stock springs back on before returning the car or buying the module? Any recommendations?

Your car with airmatic does not have "springs" that you can swap out for shorter springs per se. Your two sensible choices are the lowering module offered by most reputatable tuners, e.g. Carlsson, KLEEMANN, etc, and the lowering method through the StarDiagnose, which is totally within factory specs.

1) How much is on average is the lowering module?
2)Getting the car lowered through the onboard computer sounds the EASIEST route to go, how much will the dealer charge for this and how much of a drop will I get?

The lowering module for Carlsson is priced at $2430(MSRP) and the KLEEMANN module is priced at $1695, and add about 1 hour labor to that.
The StarDiagnose method is offered by Steve, aka MBenzNL, and Dean (Scorchie). If you live in the SF Bay Area, you can just contact Scorchie. I don't know if your dealer will do this for you, coz they are always afraid of liability issues and they really don't know much about our cars.

That lowering module is too expensive, maybe if i was keeping the car but to spend that much money and return it doesnt make any sense.
Unfortunately i'm on the east coast and im sure my ***** *** dealer will be too scared to do it.

Then, you should wait for one of Steve's East Coast trip. You need to see him at work to believe how good he really is. I have a long list of stuff I wanted to get done and my car isn't even built yet.

Just do the sensor adjustment. It only takes about 45-minutes and a Dremel tool. I just took my car in for the free under 12k/1yr alignment and put it all back to stock in about 8 minutes. It's a no-brainer...

This issue has been beaten to death, resurrected and then beaten to death again numerous times. I really don't buy the sensor method, but it's up to each individual owner though.
