Active Ventilated Seats - satisfied?

Over on the CLS forum they’re complaining that their AVS do not cool (operate) as quickly as they would like. Any e-class owners care to comment on their AVS performance?

The seats are desgined to cool, but to suck moisture off of your back and ***. The fans dont blow air, rather suck.

personally it works fine in my E55.

I took my car out yesterday. The car was left in open parking lot under direct sun light at great mall. The interior was hot as hell. So sitting the driver seat really burns your back and mositure from your sweat kills you. Turn on the ventilated seat, within 2 to 3 minutes, my back is dry and not as hot and humid as before.

I rarely took my e55 out under the hot sun. So i did not fully tested until yesterday. I think it works great.

They work great for me.....

Perhaps some people are confussed on there operation (thus the disappointment).... Many think these are supposed to blow on you and your to actualy supposed to feel something. But as stated earlier, they "draw" air not blow it....

On my E350 they do just what they should as far as I'm concerned. Yes, they don't feel that cool but I find that I don't perspire like I do without them. If I feel the seat after driving for a while it feels cool. I certainly wouldn't want them to be cold. I will miss them in my next car.

I actually use the heat option more than the cooling option. I play golf every weekend and I turn the heat up and the press pulse option on and my back loosens up really nicely.

I only feel a noticeable effect when I wear shorts with the cooling option.

hm. maybe you should jump in naked on a hot day and see if it is effective.

i think it works - i have the solar panel as well tho so it never gets that hot inside, never much different than ambient. it does work tho when im coming back from working out or been very active and sweaty.

I sat in a Lincoln LS - and it actually blows. Sometimes it was annoying, like laying on an air hockey table. But you definately felt it. Under non-extreme environments, it would probably be annoying.

I'll just say this.

I wish I had it in the X5.
We have it in most of the Lexus's and the Benzo's.
