MB says you CAN scan your radio presets…

Not a thing. Sounds like the only thing better than MB's "Quality" is

FELLOW MEMBERS - Lets keep this post alive. With summer ending, maybe more of you have time now to send MB an email demanding this software fix. Only together do we have "the power"! Thanks.

exactly my point.
While i respect you wanting to get a PM to issue the email, as it is your thread, at this rate, its never going to amount to anything. If the email address is posted on this thread, its just that much easier for someone to click on the address and crank out an email. I could care less how many of us forum members send an email, i think the only way to get MB to listen (and i reallly don't think they care anyway as the cars running on 3yrs w/ no fix) is to bombard them w/ feedback.

Someone should send email describing how someone nearly had an accident while looking down at the radio to change the preset channel to another. They should also mention that these could cause a liability issue for MB. Maybe that will get them motivated to get the software upgrade completed.

Ugh, I just heard back from MBUSA tech support concerning this issue (take it for what you will). Supposedly, all new '05 MBs have this problem, not just the E-Class. They have received several hundred or more calls into the call center concerning this but have no fix (and have not been notified that ther is one in the works).
