When did 775 Iridium Silver replace 744 Brilliant Silver with W211

When did 775 Iridium Silver replace 744 Brilliant Silver with W211
Just curious if this was a 2006 thing or what? Correct me if I’m wrong but Brilliant Silver is no longer available on the W211?

ps-Like them both equally as well…

Geez Guys! I bet EVERY OTHER 211 ever built was in Brilliant Silver! Now we'll just have to be happy with 4 colors & 48 variations of Silver to choose from! :v

Yeah, I was shocked at the degree of grief my dealer gave me when I originally went in looking for a blue CDI. He was emphatic that if I ever wanted to sell it, I'd regret it. I'm not one to buy a car to re-sell it, so it didn't matter to me, but the message was clear.

I settled on pewter, so I suppose that counts as caving in. To each their own, but I felt that adding one more the the huge fleet of brilliant silver MB's driving around D.C. would be a venial sin.

I bought E350 06', and the color is 775, no more 744, the color is alomost the same, just the 775 new one is whiter and brighter silver color. But, at least it still different color.

I'm not sure if those pictures are true examples due to lighting and what not but the SLK sure does look a whole lot purtier.
