Mercedes all the way!
i'm hoping it'll look better than that! the front is fine but the *** end is weird to my eyes.
i could almost swear the rear end comes from an A6, though...
http://www.highend3d.com/gallery/veh...rge.php?id=651
then again, it has some resemblace to the B-class.
the photos are chopped from the CLS promo pics. i'll be interested to see the real thing when it does surface - but i believe that won't happen for another, what, 4-5 years at least? the W211 just came out in 2003 if i remember correctly.

The product cycle of the current car should run until 2009, plus one more year for the terrifying 1st year production problems, that would put the next driveable E-Class at around 2010.

I don't like the direction that any of the finer cars are taking, appearance-wise. They all look like "eggs" to me. I guess the new shape is necessary because of wind-tunnel testing for higher fuel-mileage, but it sure destroys the classic looks of the older Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus products. They all look the same to me. I didn't care for the new GS Series of Lexus at all because of the "egg shape," and now it looks like Mercedes is moving in the same direction. I really disliked the new Chris Bangle designed BMW's but they are looking better and better to me. I'm sure others will disagree....beauty is in the eye the beholder. I just like the classic looks of the older cars.

I thought the butt looked like the A6 that was parked right next to my car the other day, especially the lights.
I hope this is just a photo-chopped S, or else I'll be getting a 998 C4S or TT, when I'm done with my beast

S, GL, Escalade ESV, my shoes
None of the late model luxury car have style (or quality, or both) that woow me. Granded, there are, but you need to be NBA player to afford them.
- Mercedes: New S, CLS, ML, R: weird looking. Where's that classy & classic look ?
- Infinity: G, FX, M, Q: remind me of old day in school, where smart chick often mean horrible look.
- Lexus: I, G, LS, GX: nothing to write home about. Bland style.
- BMW: at least they're ll ugly now. Used to be some look nice, some look bad.
- Audi: 4, 6 (and soon to be 8): what's up with that grill ? May be they need to enlarge those logo rings too.
- Jarguar: ha !!!, the look is finally inpar with the quality.
- Acura: guess you could never design a nice FWD car. Need to that room for front axle.
For people who're in for 4-door sedan, kinda hard to get a good combination of look + engine + handling nowaday, guess they don't make them any more. I'm going back to the old seven on my next car then.
