beeping sound when you lock & unlock car?

13 E350 , 12 BMW 328i
beeping sound when you lock & unlock car?
just got the car back from the dealer, had to fix the light on the inner trunk lid that wasn't working. reading the work order, they replaced a controler, wires, and the whole assembly. now when i lock the car it beeps twice, once when i unlock the car. is this normal? or is something else wrong?

Be happy, you just saved yourself having to pay for it to be enabled.

mines is a 03 E500 and i am happy it does that, not only do i have a visual on when it is locked and unlock, now i can hear it in case i don't see the lights blink.

I've read this posted before. I have an '05 and it's beeped confirmation since day one. Older W211's don't do this, but I don't know when the switch took place. Anyway, a few have posted that when some module was replaced, the car started beeping on locking and unlocking. It's normal. Can it be turned off? I don't know.

. After repair, the car came back with the correct beep tone!Amazing to say the least!
