Anyone tried PIAA or other to replace their NON-Xeon headlight?

Hi,

Since the E350 i am getting is not equipped with Xeon. Did anyone replace the Non Xeon head light bulb to PIAA or other brand has good results? I heard PIAA is one of the major brand of making this kind of light bulb. I am looking for bright White with little blue tint. (I know it is still no way to cmparewith Xeon but i live with that )

Thanks.

Sorry for misleading subject.... i mean head light bulb not the whole head light.

I found this from PIAA called Exteme White Plus, anyone tried it before.

This topic has been discussed many times before and the conclusion is no halogen bulb will come close to the performance of Xenon / HID. If you're looking for the high light output, you can retrofit the Xenon light to your car. If you're going after the Xenon look, you can try one of those bulbs.

I ran the blue 7500K PIAA Japan bulbs before and dumped them almost immediately in favor of OEM Bi-Xenon

Is the Non Bi-Xeon look exactly same as the Bi-Xeon head light?

I had the PIAA H7 before, it was really white, but the lifetime is very short (One year only). Philips seems to better than PIAA, it comes with white and a bit blue. It's just look like the Xeon color.

GOOD!

I'm originally from Hong Kong as well. Where do you live in Hong Kong? Most of the streets in Hong Kong have good illumination and you don't notice as much difference. However, if you try driving your car in mainland China where street lights are scarce, you might notice a huge differrent in light output.

oh.... wait, Hong Kong spec cars come with at least Xenons standard and bi-xenon is optional, right?

In the US, the standard headlight is still halogen and you need to pay to get Bi-Xenon

Actually i was talking my pervious car BMW.
Bi-xenon headlights with cleaning system only come with Avantage, and not apply in all models.

To shed some light on this......

The Philips with the bluish tint gives you about 30% more light and the ones I got give you 50% more light.

The difference is the top of the bulb. I got them for $50 a pair.

Here is some info.............

Go to your local part store. Phillips should be available in the US.

As for legality, I wont speak to that, however, the E's have a very strong cut off and it should keep the lights from blinding others.
