What is your fastest speed in your life with your E Class in the street?
BUT most of you are posting speeds on autobahn and Interstates.
how about 126mp on the West Side Highway NYC racing a BMW 540i from around the 90's hit 126 around the 80's and maintained between 100 and 126 all the way to to battery park.
yes, red lights and all. Not a pause. You stop, you lost. You made it to the southern tip first. you won.Though the most insane thing ever done-not to mention practically suicidal, my buddy promptly removed his S/S white face series Z Rolex Daytona whit White dial. Making that number 2 in my collection!
Was quite a gas wearing one on each wrist to work that monday.
Yeah, 130 or 160 is fast on a highway or track. But those of you in the know how ****ing fast that was!!
144 and I do believe the electronic limiter kicked in cause she had more on the tach but it just hung there. momentarily the display said 146 but my Garmin GPS (Yes, I had 2 NAV systems in the car) read 144mph.
Completely solid. Still had the stock rims on then... I never had it up with the Foose Wheels.
This is an 07 E350 4Matic...which can be seen wrecked here:

. I live in the US and drive an E320 CDI. Smooth all the way to a 120mph. It was so smooth that I would have tried for more but I was in a school zone
(just kidding)
but I was starting to run out of runway since I wasn't on the highway but a long country road that undulated up and down so lets just say my pucker was tight since I didn't know how much undulation to expect on each hill, technically I guess I could have gotten airborne if I would have hit the wrong hill too fast
. That might not have been too pretty.
Back when I was younger & dumber, in like 1973 or 1974, I had an old '57 Chevy sedan, with a built up 327, 4 speed, and the original rear end. The rear was geared for the removed slip/n/slide powerglide tranny. I think it was around 1:260 ratio. That old car would cruise at 100 and be taching around 3000 rpm. I know the motor was good for extended runs @ 6000 rpm, and occasionally I'd take it up to 7500 rpm.
Anyway, back then me & my buddies would oftentimes drag down Rockville Pike/Wisconsin Avenue. This was before White Flint Mall & the associated congestion. We would start southbound from Wall Lane, or Strathmore, and fly down to the Beltway. Burying the speedometer @ 120 mph, and then keep on getting it, was something I did more times than I can recall. I think I might have reached 140, but I had no way of really knowing.
Da*#'ed lucky I never killed myself, or someone else.
