Anyone got the illuminated sill panels from MB and if so are they any good?

And have Steve install them for you. He does excellent work, much more careful than my dealer. The sills are a very nice additional touch on the car, in my opinion.

My dealership installed them before initial delivery. They were expensive, but they did a fine job and they work well.

i got mines from formymercedes.com. i installed them and followed the write up that was in these forums, the only diffierence is that installed a relay and tapped in one of the convience lights so that they only go on when the lights of the car comes on and off during the daytime.

so your sill lights do not light up when dark? had trouble understanding that long sentance.

the convience light (light under the dash, front seats, parking lights, lights under the side mirrors) which comes on automatic when it's dark. it dosn't make sense that the door sills light up during the daytime???? can't see them on during the day.

tnx for the clue. duh.....am going to wire mine in right after i tackle
the exterior blinker mirrors. this is a great thought. i'll look for the appropriate
lead.
