New bumper look nice (like M5 ??). However, the updated taillight looks horrible (same for the CLK): identical to previous Camry tailight ? Wonder if it's one of those "freelance" designer that do both the Camry and the E/CLK tailight

Why can't they make the three stripe just like the W220 tailight ?

They don't look so bad, just the clear part in between the reds does look like the Camry but it's not exactly the "look". The front bumper, I am liking it. I should've waited for that one instead of what I just bought two weeks ago.

I just don't feel the E (bumper and taillights). Maybe it's the color.

I agree that the late model S-class taillights would look good on the E.

Slanted in trunk lid arrived with 1986 Mercedes W124. Toyota and other oriental makes have been copying the look ever since.

Is that an official picture of the '07? Perhaps that was a joke by someone taking a dig at Toyota for copying the W211 rear?

I can't imagine that M-B would put those new taillights on - they look lame for one and look almost exactly like the current Camry tails. Hmmmm...

The issue isn't with the trunk lid (the w211 does not have a slanted in lid anyway) it is with the design of the actual lenses.
