Any aftermarket stereo options for the E?

I'm looking to find a dealer or pro shop that can add a top notch sound system to my E500. I currently have the standard system with 6 disc in dash. Any teams out there that you can refer?

How far are you willing to go?

Yes, I'm too lazy to STFF and see if you posted your location earlier. It would help if you added it.

Wow, that's a sweet car. Nice rims too, similar to mine. Thanks for the tip.

Are those additions compatible with the existing fiber optic connectivity?

Aftermarket fitted in W211

I have searched high and low on MB Forums in UK, Germany and USA. I bought a sept 2004 W211 3 weeks ago. Lovely car, but it came with the single CD audio 20. I already had a JVC KS-FX742R HU with DAB and 12 CD changer. So I wanted the Audio 20 out and the JVC in. I took it to Unicar in Leeds, who - initially - were unfazed. But they could only get it to work on centre speaker. After alot of toing and froing, I persuaded them to have another go. Guess what the quad-lock lead they used DID work, providing they changed the wires round from the "normal" fitment.

Result

I now have a multi-channel radio including DAB, Tape, 12 CD changer, Phone cradle for nokia with mute, all beautifully fitted for GBP225.00 (excluding cost of JVC kit).

Unicar Leeds and Jerry and Steve get my vote for persistence and a really neat job.

Thanks Guys.

PS it sounds ALOT better than the Audio 20 just on original speakers.
