Mirror cover on sun visor-

Mirror cover on sun visor-
It was to my horror that when I unflipped the mirror cover to admire myself in the mirror that when I tried to close it...I was holding the cover...=\ it broke right off!!!
Has this happened to anyone???!! So, I called one of the dealers nearby (MBZ of Laguna Niguel) and they want to charge me $109 just to look at it...!! My car is still under factory warranty!! Then, I called the other dealer (Fletcher Jones) and the lady said to just bring it in...I figure if they want to charge me for it, I might just "tape" the cover back on..haha...
so does anyone know if it's under factory warranty?? any feedback will help, thanks in advance!!

Isn't it true that you opened and closed it just like you always did, and that a defect in materials/workmanship caused it to fail? 
I bet they cover it if you have under 50,000 miles.

HI Everyone, I finally figured out what yellow sticker you all are referring to...I have them on both visors..never bothered me..but I know how you all feel...=)

Got it replaced!!
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to give an update on my broken mirror cover-so I went to the dealer this morning and they were able to replace the whole visor thing right there!! It was great!! Oh, and just a FYI, the new ones didn't come with any warning labels!! So now I have to remove the label on the passenger side, argh!!
